Geen account nodig

Je kunt Zonmelder gebruiken zonder registratie of inloggen. We vragen niet om je naam, e-mailadres of andere identiteitsgegevens en we bouwen geen gebruikersprofiel op.

Locatiegegevens

• Locatie tijdens gebruik (voorgrond): je locatie of de plaatsen die je zelf toevoegt, worden gebruikt om lokale zonvoorspellingen op te halen.
• Achtergrondlocatie (optioneel): alleen als je dit zelf inschakelt, gebruiken we je locatie op de achtergrond zodat je zonmeldingen kloppen wanneer je van plaats verandert, ook als de app gesloten is. Deze toestemming is optioneel en kun je op elk moment weer uitzetten in de app of in je apparaatinstellingen.

Locatie wordt uitsluitend gebruikt voor de weer- en meldingsfuncties van de app.

Push notificaties

Als je zonmeldingen inschakelt, slaan we het volgende op bij onze notificatie-backend (Supabase) om je op de juiste momenten een melding te kunnen sturen:

• een push-token van je apparaat (van Expo/Google/Apple);
• de coördinaten van de locatie waarvoor je meldingen wilt;
• de tijden (begin- en einduur) waarbinnen je meldingen wilt ontvangen, plus je tijdzone en taal.

Deze gegevens zijn niet aan je identiteit gekoppeld. Zet je meldingen uit, dan wordt je registratie uit de backend verwijderd.

Weerdata (MET Norway)

Weersvoorspellingen komen van MET Norway (Noors Meteorologisch Instituut). We sturen alleen de coördinaten mee die nodig zijn om de voorspelling op te halen. Er worden geen persoonlijke of identificeerbare gegevens naar MET Norway gestuurd. Weerdata wordt niet permanent opgeslagen, alleen kort gecached.

Locaties zoeken (Nominatim / OpenStreetMap)

Als je naar een plaats zoekt, gebruiken we Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) om je zoekopdracht om te zetten naar coördinaten. Er wordt geen identiteitsinformatie meegestuurd.

Advertenties (Google AdMob)

De app toont advertenties via Google AdMob. Daarbij kan een advertentie-identifier van je apparaat worden gebruikt.

• Op iOS vraagt de app eerst via App Tracking Transparency (ATT) om je toestemming. Geef je geen toestemming, dan toont de app alleen niet-gepersonaliseerde advertenties.
• Ook op andere apparaten kunnen niet-gepersonaliseerde advertenties worden getoond als tracking niet is toegestaan.
• Je forecast- en locatiegegevens blijven op je apparaat en worden niet voor advertenties gedeeld.

Advertentiegegevens worden beheerd door Google. Advertentie-personalisatie kun je beheren via je Google-account en je apparaatinstellingen.

Voorkeuren op je apparaat

Je thema-instelling, opgeslagen locaties en notificatievoorkeuren worden alleen lokaal op je apparaat bewaard. Verwijder je de app, dan zijn deze gegevens weg.

Beveiliging

• Alle dataoverdracht verloopt via versleutelde HTTPS-verbindingen.
• We verzamelen geen gevoelige persoonsgegevens.
• Locatiegegevens worden alleen gebruikt waarvoor ze bedoeld zijn.

Jouw rechten en keuzes

• Locatietoegang intrekken via je apparaatinstellingen.
• Push notificaties uitzetten in de app of je apparaatinstellingen (je registratie wordt dan verwijderd).
• Advertentie-personalisatie beheren via je Google-account.
• De app verwijderen om alle lokale gegevens te wissen.

Wijzigingen in dit beleid

We kunnen dit privacybeleid aanpassen als dat nodig is. Belangrijke wijzigingen melden we via de app. De datum bovenaan laat zien wanneer het beleid voor het laatst is bijgewerkt.

No account required

You can use Zonmelder without registering or signing in. We don't ask for your name, email address or any other identifying details, and we don't build a user profile.

Location data

• Location while using the app (foreground): your location, or the places you add yourself, are used to fetch local sunshine forecasts.
• Background location (optional): only if you enable it, we use your location in the background so your sunshine alerts stay accurate when you move, even when the app is closed. This permission is optional and you can turn it off again at any time in the app or in your device settings.

Location is used solely for the app's weather and notification features.

Push notifications

If you enable sunshine alerts, we store the following with our notification backend (Supabase) so we can send you alerts at the right times:

• a push token from your device (from Expo/Google/Apple);
• the coordinates of the location you want alerts for;
• the hours (start and end) during which you want to receive alerts, plus your time zone and language.

This data is not linked to your identity. If you turn alerts off, your registration is deleted from the backend.

Weather data (MET Norway)

Forecasts come from MET Norway (the Norwegian Meteorological Institute). We only send the coordinates needed to retrieve the forecast. No personal or identifiable data is sent to MET Norway. Weather data is not stored permanently, only cached briefly.

Location search (Nominatim / OpenStreetMap)

When you search for a place, we use Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) to turn your query into coordinates. No identifying information is sent.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows ads via Google AdMob, which may use an advertising identifier from your device.

• On iOS, the app first asks for your permission through App Tracking Transparency (ATT). If you don't grant permission, the app shows only non-personalized ads.
• Non-personalized ads may also be shown on other devices when tracking isn't allowed.
• Your forecast and location data stay on your device and are not shared for advertising.

Ad data is managed by Google. You can manage ad personalization through your Google account and device settings.

Preferences on your device

Your theme setting, saved locations and notification preferences are stored locally on your device only. If you delete the app, this data is gone.

Security

• All data transfers use encrypted HTTPS connections.
• We don't collect sensitive personal data.
• Location data is only used for its intended purpose.

Your rights and choices

• Revoke location access in your device settings.
• Turn off push notifications in the app or your device settings (your registration is then deleted).
• Manage ad personalization through your Google account.
• Delete the app to remove all local data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy when needed. Major changes will be communicated via the app. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
